Enjoy the beautiful countryside of County Kerry, Ireland with a six day, seven night stay at Glounlea Manor, a picturesque Irish farmhouse, for up to eight people.

Experience the relaxation of the Irish countryside.  Glounlea Manor is a family-friendly, comfortable home on top of a quiet, sunny hill in the southwest corner of County Kerry, Ireland.  You will have panormaic views of the mountains and surrounding countryside.  Ireland's highest mountain, Carran Tuathail, is within a 30 minute drive.

Even though you will be out in the country, the local village is near enough to walk, with country shops (Buckley's or Daley's) and pub only 3km away.  Castle Island is the closest town, about 8km away.

Nearby Killarney has 5 stunning golf courses and is in the middle of the Killarney National Park.  You can walk, cycle or drive through the park and experience breathtaking views and scenery with routes of varying lenghts and difficulties.  There are also several great trout and salmon fishing spots to choose from in Killarney Lakes.  Permits can be obtained locally.

Ballybunion is about 45 minutes away and has its own world-renowned golf club.  

In the surrounding towns you will find a large number of excellent restaurants, lively pubs (many with live traditional music), craft shops and a cinema.

There are also a number of places of historical interest close by including St. Mary's Cathedral, Ross Castle and the Muckross Estate.

On top of all that, it is an hour and half from the shooting location for the next Star Wars film!

For arrivals by plane: airport Shannon (SNN) is about a 90 minute drive.

Item Special Note

Inside the home:

This well-furnished cottage is handicap accessible on the first floor.  The first floor bathroom, sitting room and laundry room all have underfloor heating. 

Also located on the first floor is a kitchen/dining room equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine/dryer and a refridgerator/freezer. 

On the second floor you will find three bedrooms.  One bedroom has a double bed and the two other bedrooms each have two single beds.  

Two extra folding beds are available for set up.

All bedrooms have sheets, duvets, towels and blankets for your use.

There is also a second full bath located on the second floor.

Oil fired central heating.

Travel package is non-refundable and subject to availability. Blackout dates to apply.  Passport required for travel outside the U.S. A minimum 30 day advance reservation is required. Travel is valid for 12 months from date of issue. Cottage will accommodate up to eight guests.
