Item Description

Is your child’s class studying space travel? Are you fascinated with astronomy? Maybe you’re looking to organize an entertaining evening with friends that’s unusual, creative, and interesting?

Dr. Randii Wessen, decorated scientist and author, will come to your school or home for a personal visit. His exciting 50-minute presentation (which includes images and movies) starts its “mission” on Earth, then travel to Mars, our solar system, and finally the universe. Dr. Wessen will share fascinating details about current and future major missions. Questions about far-off planets and life beyond our planet?  Bring ’em.

He'll also bring a few surprises for you. You may see an actual piece of a 4.6 billion year old meteorite; Lichtenberg Lightning (A lightning blast frozen in lucite); an actual "remove before flight" tag from a space mission, and more...

Dr. Randii Wessen is currently the Lead Study Architect for JPL’s Innovation Foundry’s A Team. He was the recipient of NASA’s Exceptional Service Medal for his contributions to the Voyager 2 Neptune Encounter and has eleven NASA Group Achievement Awards.
