Item Description
Offered for bid is this 8" x 10" original photograph, printed and signed by the artist and fully matted to fit into a standard-sized 11 x 14" frame (frame not included) of Asher a Yorkie who was rescued in 2014 by National Mill Dog Rescue and adopted by dedicated volunteer Mary Lou Cronin.
Item Special Note
The artist, Marlene Barnes, has dedicated her life to photographing and telling the stories of rescued pets by using her work in colorful and humorous Dogonfunny (TM) greeting cards. Since 2004, she and her husband have donated thousands of dollars and products to animal rescue charities. Marlene has also dedicated hundreds of hours of volunteer time helping to further the cause of pet adoption and animal welfare with her photography. Asher's image was used in a Friendship card and was recently part of a one- person art exhibit featuring Marlene's work - both card and gallery print included Asher's rescue story.
