More about Camp Avoda:

There’s so much that Camp Avoda can offer a Jewish boy. Your son will arrive with uncertain expectations and leave with indelible memories. At Avoda, he’ll discover talents he didn’t know he had, and improve his skills in the activities he loves. He'll build confidence and character, learn to work together to solve problems and overcome challenges, and be valued for who he is.

“ALL BOYS” MEANS YOU CAN BE YOURSELF

“Boys will be boys” means that a camper can express his unique personality, access diverse creative and athletic outlets for his energy and talents, and grow into a respectful, responsible young man. There are few experiences in your son’s life that provide this simple, pressure-free focus on growth as well as personal and shared experiences.

OUR INTIMATE CAMPUS IS A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Our camp has every facility and resource you could want, without the sprawling size. At Avoda, the athletic field is everyone’s front yard. Everyone knows each other, and we are all one close, united Avoda family.

WE ARE FLEXIBLE

At Camp Avoda, we’re very flexible. If your son has a friend from home at camp and wants to be in the same bunk, we will try to make that happen. We will work with your busy schedules as well as custom fit your son’s length of stay, if necessary. We also accommodate all dietary and activity restrictions. “Whatever works for you” is something that you frequently hear our administrators say!

YOU CAN ALWAYS REACH US

Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call. Or email. Or visit. We love giving tours of our campus (any time of the year!), meeting families at camp shows, and answering questions, whether it’s over the phone or face to face. Before camp, during camp, and after camp, we are accessible and we welcome your contact and feedback.

Camp Avoda Testimonials:

  • I never thought I would want my children to go to summer camp but my son, Ben (grade 4), was so-o-o-o happy at Avoda and he hasn't stopped talking about it. And by the way, it isn't just CAMP - it is Avoda; the family feeling, the bonding, the surprises, the spirit, the fun, the energy, the support, the big brother (brilliant!!!!), the music, and on and on and on. Camp Avoda is really very, very special. Ben will be back for even longer next year! (Kimberly)
  • Our son, Alex (grade 4), talks about Camp Avoda non-stop.  He refers to it as a home-- "no offense, Mom and Dad, I still like our home but Avoda is like a home to me".  He was so taken with the  brotherhood/camaraderie. He loved the activities, loved having a big brother and was teary saying goodbye to him (he's usually very reserved about that kind of stuff). My younger son, Zack, told Alex he had to stop talking about Avoda because he was making it sound so fun that he couldn't wait to go. Camp Avoda does a fantastic job. Alex can't wait for next summer and is already talking about how many more days it will be till he can return to camp. (Deena)
