She is an adjunct professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for the MBA and nursing graduate programs. She holds a PhD in human and organization development, with emphasis on thanatology, the study of death and dying, and a masterâ??s in organizational behavior, both from the Fielding Graduate University. She earned a masterâ??s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She lives in Lafayette, La., with her husband.
