Item Description
Eureka! We’ve hit gold with this half-case of Napa’s signature grape. This lot includes two cabernet sauvignons from Calistoga, a 2009 Coup de Foudre awarded 94 points from Wine Spectator and described as “full-bodied and well-focused, this is persistent and elegant on the long, satisfying finish. Drink now through 2022,” and a beautiful fresh release from 2012 Hunnicutt Kenefick Ranch. The Oakville 2010 Gargiulo Vineyards G Major 7 Study is described as “highly nuanced and provides a profound sense of elegance and complexity, changing with every swirl and sip,” and a top-shelf 2013 bottle from Darioush hails from the estate’s oldest vineyard block. The 2012 Provenance from Rutherford won a gold medal at the LA Wine & Spirits competition and is described by Wine Spectator as boasting “a mix of cedar, dried herb and dill notes, bolstered by hints of dried dark berry, smoke and charcoal on the finish.” Rounding out this half-case is a bottle of 2011 Arietta Quartet, with a 90-point score from Stephen Tanzer and “is ready to enjoy now and should evolve beautifully in bottle for five to ten years.”
