The village of Venasque, perched high on a hilltop, overlooks the valley of the river Nesque. Located 20 miles northeast of Avignon, it lies at the heart of Provence, a region known for its abundant vineyards, lush orchards, plentiful markets and historical sites.
Your home for the week will be "Bouche-Trou," a 1,500 square foot duplex apartment with a large kitchen, dining room, spacious living room, three bedrooms (two with queen-size beds and one with two single beds), two baths, rooftop terrace and a washing machine, telephone and WiFi.
The apartment is situated in a 16th-century stone house at the center of the village (pop 150). On a quiet cul-de-sac, the house is private yet within easy walking distance of a boulangerie, a small grocery, and four fine restaurants.
At this time, there is availability in June, July or all of August (2016).
