Item Description

Orthopedic Massage – uses a combination of deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy and myofascial release to revive injured muscles and restore proper range of motion. This therapy is an effective/excellent treatment for:

  • Neck Pain
  • Headaches
  • Shoulder Impingement
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Rotator Cuff Injuries
  • Low Back Pain
  • Piriformis Syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Knee Pain
  • Hamstring Strain
  • ITB Friction Syndrome
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Shoulder Impingement
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Thoracic Outlet
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Deep Tissue Massage – releases chronic pain and tension in the superficial and deeper layers of muscle and fascia. Treatment includes using slow strokes, direct pressure, or friction applied across the grain of the muscles with the hands, fingers, forearms and elbows.

Neuromuscular Therapy – helps to alleviate acute and chronic pain conditions, as well as to deactivate “trigger points”, which are tight, contracted and hyper-irritable areas in the muscles that refer pain and tingling to other parts of the body. By applying concentrated pressure to release these trigger points, normal muscle movement is restored and the pain spasm cycle is disrupted.

Myofascial Release – involves applying sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.  Myofascial is comprised of the word “myo” referring to muscle and “fascia”, which refers to the collagenous web that surrounds, supports, and connects all of our muscles.

Sports Massage – allows the muscles to move more freely, preventing injuries and speeding recovery time between workouts. This is done through a variety of warming and energizing massage strokes that loosen overworked muscles and flush out toxins.  Sports Massage is great for both serious athletes and weekend warriors.

Massage Cupping – an amazing healing modality adapted from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that involves suction and negative pressure, rather than tissue compression.  Utilizing advanced bodywork techniques such as Myofascial Release and Lymphatic Drainage, massage cupping can instantly release rigid soft tissue; drain excess fluids and toxins; loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue; and bring blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles.

Tui-Na Massage – a Chinese massage technique – stimulates the energy system in the body known as the meridian system. This is attained by kneading, rolling, rubbing the muscles and applying pressure to specific acupressure points. It focuses on treating both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.  Tui-Na practitioners in China are treated with the same respect as Acupunturists and herbalists, and often these modalities work hand-in-hand as a holistic approach to patient’s well-being.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) – is the massaging of the bones of the skull and the lower spine (the sacrum) to loosen or release restrictions or “blockages” in the body. Research has shown that CST alleviates migraine headaches, chronic fatigue, chronic neck and back pain, scoliosis, central nervous system disorders, temporomandibular joint dysfunctions (TMJD), as well as stress and anxiety.

Lomi Lomi – a Hawaiian massage technique – melts muscle spasms and stimulates the lymphatic system. The massage focuses on breaking up congested areas in the body, dispersing toxins with rhythmic, dance-like motions using the forearms and hands. Recipients of a Lomi Lomi treatment often experience a deep sense of harmony and balance.

Kinesio Taping – An elastic therapeutic taping method developed by Dr. Kenzo Kase, a Japanese-born chiropractor.  The tape is placed over and around muscle groups to assist and prevent over-contraction, reducing cramping and/or spasm.  It is effective on a number of conditions including neck pain, shoulder pain, lower back pain, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, IT band tightness, knee pain and ankle sprains.

Chair Massage is a 15 minute massage at a company, where the employee sits fully clothed in a portable massage chair and the massage therapist releases muscular tension in their neck, upper and lower back. Chair Massage increases employee’s productivity, boosts morale and lessens stress.
