Jennifer Rutheny began her career in 1998  working as a jeweler for companies such as  Estee'  Lauder,  Anne Klein,  David Yurman, National Geographic and others.  In 2005 Jennifer opened her own store, Rutheny Jewelry.  Its location, at 80 Brook Street in Croton-on-Hudson,  NY is off the beaten path.  It's growth relies solely on word of  mouth.

Each one of Jennifer’s designs is inspired by nature in the Hudson River Valley.  Jennifer hikes daily along the river or in the woods, where she gathers inspiration for her work.  A beach rock may become a ring or pendant set in sterling or gold.  A leaf or a native wild flower may give impetus to a new miniature sculpture or pair of earrings.  Jennifer’s specialty is sculpting and casting  in silver or gold.
