Item Description

Two volumes (the fifth and seventh yearbooks published by NEC) of "The Neume" celebrate the Senior Class of the conservatory.  The volumes have photographs of the students and faculty and various illustrations throughout.

The covers are beautifully decorated with gilt stamping.  The volumes are filled with quaint articles, and turn of the century style cartoons, drawings and decorative motifs. There are poems, songs, and interesting photographs.

Most poignant are the yearbook photos and writeups on the graduating students from near and far, who came to study music in Boston.  One wonders how they all fared and how their careers unfolded.

As in the yearbooks of today, there are advertisements in the back.  Perhaps a few are still in business?

Details:  Volumes measure 9 1/4" x 7 1/4", with approximately 160 pp. Condition is nice and clean.
