AS+GG is an award winning international architecture firm of over 100 architects building projects all over the world. Adrian Smith’s previous work includes Burj Khalifa (current world’s tallest building) and Trump Tower Chicago. AS+GG’s current work includes Kingdom Tower (the next world’s tallest building) and Astana Expo 2017 with over 25 buildings on a site the size of downtown Chicago
Come spend the day at AS+GG and tour their downtown offices with Lane parent and Senior Architect, Robert Jillson. Learn the process of how they bring incredible projects from concept to reality - from initial sketches to computer renderings, scale model development, design presentations, design development and construction documents.
Understand how they use technology to achieve these designs – from the model shop with lathes, routers, laser cutters and Rapid Prototyping to software including Rhino, Grasshopper, Maxwell and Revit.
Learn about the different talents in architecture needed to bring a project to completion including: design development, technical development and landscape design. See projects as they have traveled through this design process.
