Larry Brownstein is a wedding, portrait and fine art photographer. After apprenticing for a Los Angeles wedding photography studio, Brownstein began photographing weddings on his own, offering a creative new style of photography. Brownstein utilizes his background as a photojournalist (with thousands of magazine credits), his understanding of studio lighting, his ability to see what others will miss, and his experience with fashion photography coalesce into a unique style of wedding photography.
Early in his career he traveled extensively to Asia and Europe photographing the people, landscapes and monuments. Subsequently, his attention turned to the American landscape, both natural and man-made. Currently, in his personal fine art work -- exhibited in several galleries -- he has been focusing on the people, sub-cultures and the urban landscape of Los Angeles and its environs.
Brownstein's numerous publication credits including many prestigious magazines and many books including several monographs. He also contributes to several photography magazines and is represented by several international stock photography agencies including Getty Images. His expose Hollywood: A Live Show Daily was shown at The Annenberg Space for Photography. He exhibited in the critically acclaimed Group LA 2008, and has shown at several galleries, including a solo exhibit at the G2 Gallery that was highly praised in a review in Art Scene. He has won a Nikon Photo Contest prize as well as other contests.
