Item Description
Sharon Wenzel is a local artist whose work is represented in contemporary craft shops and galleries nationwide, including Show of Hands in Cherry Creek. She has always been greatly influenced by the Folks Arts of many cultures and its direct connection with people through individual craftsmen. She mainly works in fiber and most of her pieces reflect humor, whimsy and fantasy. Cues from a wide variety of subjects such as music or the circus, lead her to provide visual respite from our "technocratic" lives. This mask was inspired by the Festival masks of Japan and China.
