Artists
Item Description
Color is always my first decision in all things and effects my surroundings and artwork to this day. Obtaining a BFA from Colorado State University, my concentration was Interior Design through the Art Department. My career consisted of thirty-three years in a space planning and tenant finishes for Federal Government agencies in a six state region. Always wanting to continue with art, I took numerous classes in decorative art mediums in addition to receiving my certification of completion at the Denver Botanic Gardens School of Botanic Illustration in 2014. I am now enjoying my journey of growth, expression and experimentation and I am looking forward to finding out what my artistic signature is going to be!
We all wear different masks at different times. While wearing a neutral butterfly mask, the thoughts and colorful imagery begin to emerge that enhance and entice the butterfly. Random thoughts weave in and out of images trying to “light” on a decision, direction, or path. Like a butterfly lights on a flower, our thoughts can be fleeting, chaotic, or creative!
