Item Description
Stacy Williams is an architect who is a coming out of the closet artist. She assisted in the design, color and composition of markers and sidewalk inlays for the Five Points Historic Marker Project. The project won the historic preservation award for urban design in Denver by the Denver Historic Society. She is an avid art collector, foodie, world traveler and "Times and National Geographic" junkie.
Stacy's design process always starts with mathematical and color rhythms. The paper strips are a three diagonal combination and are treated with a papier-mache technic. As the design process evolves she incorporates natural elements. This piece she calls "Happy Moon" with the cloud buns made of moss and the face and chopsticks, twigs that she finds on her park tours.
