Settled in the heart of the Umbrian hills, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and sunflower fields, La Selva is a newly restored 14th century farmhouse with every comfort and modern amenity. Take in the bucolic landscape, during a one week stay in the Italian countryside.
The house boasts 3 double bedrooms, one children’s bedroom with 3 single beds (on a messanine) and 2 bathrooms on the top floor, as well as a den, additional shower room, dining room and enormous living room that looks out to an exquisite view of hills, valleys and mountains in the distance.
In addition to the oversized infinity pool is a hot-tub which sits under a giant oak tree from where one can enjoy the view or the starlit night. The paved deck area between the two buildings is naturally shaded by trees so one can enjoy eating al fresco even on the hottest days. On premise caretakers will assist with every need including meal preparation, using the vegetables grown from the garden on the property.
La Selva is a haven of beauty and tranquility from where the only sounds you will hear are those of the tractors in the fields, dogs barking in the distance or cicadas hailing the arrival of evening. While it offers a view from every point of the house, you enjoy total privacy and the sensation of being alone and at one with the beauty of the natural surroundings.
La Selva is close to famous tourist destinations such as Spoleto, Montefalco, Assisi, Perugia and Todi as well as many beautiful ancient villages that each offer their own individual character. There are wonderful supermarkets, farmer’s markets, butchers and bakers very close by as well as wonderful, authentic Umbrian restaurants.
