You and a guest, traveling together, will ride round trip coach onboard Amtrak's Southwest Chief from Kansas City to Albuquerque. Southwest Chief runs daily between Chicago and Los Angeles, through the vast expanse of the fabled American West.  You'll be mesmerized by this region's beauty and allure. We'll take you across the Midwest—past wheat fields and ranches. Carving through curving canyon passages only a few feet wider than the train itself, you'll see spectacular landscapes and pristine vistas not visible from interstate highways.  On Amtrak®, spending some quality time with family and friends is only the beginning. Whether you’re savoring meals in the Dining car, enjoying the views from the Lounge, relaxing in spacious seats or private sleeping accommodations, the on-board train experience is unique and memorable.

Upon arrival you’ll be treated to three nights at Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town which exemplifies Albuquerque style with a unique blend of New Mexico’s Pueblo, Spanish Territorial and Western cultures. Take a drive up to the mountains because you are going to want to taste a different kind of bar-b-que!  County Line Legendary Bar-B-Que provides the highest quality smoked barbecue – ribs, brisket, sausage and chicken – with traditional sides of cole slaw, potato salad and beans. County Line serves its BBQ specialties in generous portions at reasonable prices with friendly table service with linens and bar service. County Line is located just a short distance from the base of the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway.

Amtrak may be used in either direction. Travel must be completed by 2/28/2017 and the following blackout dates apply: 5/27-30, 7/1-4, 9/2-5, 10/20, 11/22-28, 12/21-1/2 2017, 2/17-20 2017. Reservations must be made at least 21 days in advance based upon availability. You may purchase upgrades.

Hotel Albuquerque's gift certificate is valid until 4/6/2017. A 21 day advance reservation is required, based upon availability. Certificate is valid at any Heritage Hotel and resorts property.

County Line's gift certificate value is $40 and is valid Tuesday through Sunday.
