Have you ever wanted to learn how beer is made?
Did you know that there are 117 different categories of beer?
Home brewer, Shaun Moore, will provide 3 hands on lessons to teach you how to brew your own beer. Shaun has been brewing beer from grain for 25 years and will take you through the process while your beer is brewing.
Lessons will take place in Shaun’s home, on 3 separate days, over the span of 2 to 4 weeks
Day 1:
- Review beer styles and select a style that you would like to brew (Limited to Ales only)
- Walk through the hows and whys of the brew process
- Learn how beer recipes and brew schedules are constructed and calculated
- Tailor and construct a custom recipe in the ale style of your choosing
Day 2:
- Brew the ale from grain, using the same methods and techniques used by commercial breweries
- While your ale is brewing, discuss the different methods and techniques that could be used during this process, including the extract brewing method (the typical entry level homebrew method)
Day 3:
- Bottle the 5 gallons of beer you brewed
- You will go home with your beer at the end of this day
- Beer will take an additional 2-3 weeks to complete conditioning before its ready to enjoy
