Item Description
Three pieces of authentic animal bone scrimshaw depicting nautical scenes. Crafted by award-winning scrimshaw artist and St. Andrew's alum Robert Monize (class of 1968) in 2015, all three pieces adhere to the traditional whaler's practice of hand drawing and hand etching on animal bone. Mr. Monize was the recipient of a gold medl and a silver medal for his scrimshaw work in the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival.
Donated by Robert Monize '68
