Item Description
Enjoy dinner at Sapore Ristorante Italiano on Burlingame Avenue with this $50 gift certificate.
Since its grand opening in November 2001, Sapore Italiano has been the area leader in authentic Italian cuisine. Known by locals as “Sapore” it provides a unique dining experience for families, friends, couples, and small and large gatherings alike.
Owner Elio D’Urzo and Executive Chef Angelo Cucco, both Italian natives, have a total of 50 combined years in the restaurant business. Elio is a native of Calabria and holds a degree in economics from the University of Calabria. He moved to the US in 1995 and gained years of experience in the hotel/restaurant industry while working for his uncle’s restaurant, Piazza D’Angelo, in Marin County, CA and Las Vegas, NV. In 1998 he moved to the peninsula where he managed Pasta Q before opening his own restaurant, Sapore Italiano, in 2001. In 2012, Elio opened his second restaurant, Piccolo Ristorante Italiano, located in Menlo Park, CA.
Angelo Cucco is a native of Sicily and began his career in hotels and fine dining in Italy, working with the best in Europe. He transported his expertise to the Bay Area where he worked in local establishments for 10 years before opening Sapore Italiano.
Offering nothing less than the best, bread is baked fresh in house daily. The menu takes your palate on a tour through the regions of Italy, while the extensive wine list is sure to present the perfect accompaniment to a delicious dish.
