Item Description
Whale Watching departing daily from the end of December through April from Redondo Beach Marina.
Join us aboard the 65 ft/125 passenger excursion vessel “Voyager” to experience the spectacular adventure of Gray whale watching off the Palos Verdes Peninsula and the Catalina Channel, just minutes from the harbor entrance, where Gray Whales are migrating through our local waters, from Alaska to Baja, Mexico and back. The “Voyager” departs daily, at 10am and 1:30pm, for a 2 1/2 – 3 hour cruise in search of these gentle giants of the sea. The double-decker seating offers the best views of the coastline and for whale sightings. Each whale watch adventure is narrated by a trained Naturalist of the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium/American Cetacean Society who share their local knowledge of marine wildlife, coastline scenery and history. We are proud to say that we donate a portion of all ticket sales to CMA/ACS (which was founded in 1967, being the oldest whale conservation group in the world). With a high percent whale-sighting success rate, visitors are likely to spot the magnificent Gray Whales as well as Fin, Minke, Humpbacks and Sperm whales, along with other wildlife thriving off the Southern California Coast including sharks, various species of seabirds, such as the majestic pelicans, graceful terns, and other ocean dwellers such as Mola Mola, as well as playful dolphins, seals, sea lions and flying fish. The “Voyager” whale watching cruise offers an unparalleled opportunity to sight, photograph, and learn about whales and other creatures of the sea. Have a wonderful time on the water, sit back, relax, and breathe the fresh air. Wear rubber soled shoes and bring a warm jacket; even on sunny days, it can feel cool on the water. School, group and private charter rates are available. Please visit our website for more information and detailed directions at voyagerexcursions.com.
