Item Description
Trés Taylor is a contemporary self-taught painter living in Birmingham, AL. Taylor was a biochemist for over 20 years, then after a visit with Southern artist R.A. Miller in 1998, he was inspired to begin his journey as a painter. He paints about spiritual seeking, love, peace and joy. Christi Salamone, of the La Quinta Arts Festival, describes his art as “colorful expressionistic work of unconventional subject matter... makes you smile”. His work can be found in several collections including Dupont Pioneer of Des Moines, IA, the Hurn Museum of Contemporary Folk Art of Savannah, GA, and is publicly displayed at Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham, AL.
