Item Description

I am an artist painting in oils. I primarily paint cats because I have a love affair with cats!  My work explores cats -realistically, whimsically and abstractly. I also paint ravens and bears. I am drawn to ravens because of their intelligence. What the raven can do is amazing. Bears appear to carry a sense of introspection as they roam the forests. I also do commission paintings of cats, dogs and other animals. Whatever the animal I am painting, I attempt to connect with the animal as I bring it to life on my canvas.

This mask is painted as a bear. The bear is painted in shades of blue to represent the whimsical side of a bear. This bear has a bit of a smile and rosy cheeks and seems to be inviting the viewer to play. The bear also honors the blue bear at the Convention Center in downtown Denver.
