Get Outside This Summer and Explore the Elements!

Calyx Nature Camps
Ages 5-10
(Four Weeks from July 5th - July 28)
9:30am - 2:30pm

Calyx Nature Camps provide safe spaces for kids to be kids, with lots of time for play-based and nature-based learning, art, story, science, new friends and special guests. This year, we will explore a different elements each week: water, air, fire and earth.

Week 1: Water
Tuesday, July 5th - Friday, July 8th
(This camp runs Tuesday through Friday due to July 4th falling on Monday)
Let's splish splash our way into the element of water.
We will dive deep into water learning and explore the science, art, story and song of water on earth. From the water in our own bodies to the water that defines our region - the Salish Sea - to the water that connects all living beings through time and space.

Week 2: Air
Monday, July 11 - Thursday, July 14th
Up up and away! Let us travel into the atmosphere and explore the element of air with creative, hands on activities, song, science, and story. What is unique about the earth's atmosphere? How does it support life on earth? Join us in making the invisible element visible as we explore the power and spirit of air.

Week 3: Fire
Monday, July 18th - Thursday July 21st
We will let our passions ignite with the element of fire.
From the fire power of the sun and other stars to the fire that sculpted the geography of our region, we will harness our inner fire and explore the place of fire in the universe and in our own lives.

Week 4: Earth
Monday, July 25th - Thursday July 28th
Dig your roots down and ground yourself in the element of earth.
During a week of forest and garden exploration, we will explore the rich depths of our planet's bountiful skin, the gifts and wisdom it holds, and the diversity it supports.

Calyx Summer Camp: 1 Week
Certificate is good for one week of summer camp, 2016 and the winner must make a reservation with Calyx upon receipt to secure a spot in the desired week of camp. Registration information is available at https://www.facebook.com/calyxschool/.
