Item Description

Custom-Painted 58cm USED Diamondback “Cookie Bike." The paint scheme was designed by Circuit Sport's in-house design team and hand-painted by Minnesota artist Brad Galvin. It is adorned with two sayings, “Earn your cookies” and “The more you ride, the more calories you can get away with,” referencing the team’s popular 2014 short film “Calories,” as well as the team’s Human-Powered Health mantra.

Carbon fiber bikes have been around for a few decades but methods are still evolving. Utilizing foam core and air-bladder systems over the whole line, the frames are made of a mixture of carbon fibers with differing properties, depending on that piece’s location in the frame. With a high modulus stiff carbon for the straighter tubes and more compliant material in seat tubes and stays. With over 300 individual pieces of material, these Podium framesets are a complex three-dimensional puzzle.

The Podium's seat tube flares into a more drastic Kamm-tailed shape as it gets closer to the rear wheel and the bottom bracket. At the top tube junction, the seat tube is perfectly round. This bike also uses large plugs for the front and rear derailleur, which can be swapped out and closed up if the rider wants to use an electronic drivetrain.

Three things set this Podium apart from any bike that came before it: its design process, influences, and construction.
