Begin your night in the heart of the Theatre District with dinner for two at Sardi’s, famous for its creative continental cuisine and celebrity caricatures. Appreciate the history (did you know Sardi’s is the birthplace of the Tony Award?) and the food, then head on over to the Cort Theatre.
Featuring a score by Grammy winners Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, Bright Star is set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and travels between 1923 and 1945. Billy Cane, a young soldier just home from World War II, meets Alice Murphy, the brilliant editor of a southern literary journal. Together they discover a powerful secret that alters their lives.
The show’s plot derives from a real-life incident from 1904 that Brickell is reluctant to describe, lest its revelation spoil the experience for theatregoers. What Martin will disclose is that “The end of the first act is so shocking that the audience sits there for a while, stunned. And when they come back from intermission, they’re buzzing.”

Winner will receive two tickets to the Broadway musical, Bright Star, at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street). Tickets are subject to availability. Valid for performances Tuesday through Thursday ONLY through June 9th, 2016. Backstage tour will take place immediately following the performance.
