Item Description
This is a fully guided and supported overnight trip for 6 through Maine's great outdoors, either on abandoned logging roads through the western Maine hills, or down the Dead River.
You have the option of making this a mountain bike trip or a ducky trip (inflatable kayaks)/rafting trip. The Mountain bike trip will follow a series of abandoned logging roads, and single track over rolling terrain in the Kennebec River Valley and Western Maine. The overland travel will afford you the chance to view native flora and fauna.
The river trip will spend the first day navigating 16 miles of the Dead River on inflatable kayaks, and the second day rafting down the Kennebec River.
Dead River Expeditions supplies all the equipment for these overnight trips except your sleeping bag and personal clothes. All meals are included (the guides even cook for you). The guides -- all advanced first aid trained or higher -- promise to lead through a fantastic journey in Maine's great outdoors.
