Item Description
The Hansimedean Snub Chandelier
Pay it Forward and Reunite the Arts and Sciences with your purchase of this stunning student work! Titled the Hans-imedean Snub, and created collaboratively by sixty-four 2015-16 Culver Academies Geometry students, this stained glass chandelier was crafted to meet professional standards and will cast mathematically correct lighting in your home or office for a lifetime! The Snub Dodecahedron was first described by Archimedes and was the inspiration for this sculpture, designed by the Geometric Glass Artist Hans Schepker (GlassGeometry.com) who facilitated the final project during a three-day workshop in January of 2016. The reserve price of $3500 will benefit the Culver Fund and the Mathematics Department by directly underwriting a Spring Glass Geometry Workshop. A purchase price over the reserve will support the expansion of this Mathematics Department initiative.\
