Item Description

This one of a kind and "made with love" children's play tent consists of 100 squares and 40 skeins of yarn. These were knitted and crocheted by the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students as well as parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and staff of the Waldorf School of Garden City. A bamboo frame gives the tepee its form. The idea for the tepee came from Karen Talluto of the Waldorf School Craft Circle and all the volunteers of the Circle put in countless hours and effort to knit, crochet and compile the individual squares and assemble the structure. This project has been in the works since October. Current Parent and Craft Circle volunteer, Ewelina Mazur made the pillow that is inside the tepee.
