Do you have some piano background and are interested in something new and different? Try three lessons in Brazilian style piano or accordion with master musician, Rob Curto.
Rob will introduce you to the Brazilian styles of forro, choro, samba and more! He can help develop your ability to play not just Brazilian music, but world music styles such as roots Americana, klezmer, and jazz, while helping to refine your technique and develop your playing by ear, improvisation and composition.
Rob Curto, pianist, accordionist, composer and arranger based in New York City, has over 20 years of experience as an educator and is a founding member of the band Matuto which was selected to showcase at WOMEX (world music conference) in 2011 and chosen to represent the US State Department overseas as part of the American Music Abroad program in 2012 and 2016. He has released four albums as a band- leader and is a prolific composer/arranger. His musical collaborations include performing and recording with Latin Grammy award winner Lila Downs, Klezmer clarinetist David Krakauer, trumpeter/composer Frank London, Punjabi Indian singer Kiran Ahluwalia and icon of Brazilian Forró, the great accordionist Dominguinhos.
