Jane was born in NYC, raised in New Jersey, and studied art at Butera School of Art in Boston. She began painting in childhood, starting in watercolor, and then exploring many other forms of media as time in her life allowed. She is accomplished in abstract water media as well as whimsical 3-D Paper Mache' sculpture. Jane is employed part time by Cat Care Society in Lakewood, serving as Volunteer Coordinator and Art Director for their signature fundraiser, "Tails of the Painted Cats". She lives in Wheat Ridge with her husband and three housecats.
While perusing the far reaches of my quirky brain for an idea, I had an odd vision of a wine mask with cork dreadlocks. Surprise, there is no deep abstract meaning here. Sonoma Sue is perhaps a shop cat who lounges on the vineyard tasting bar, dressed in her finest grapes.
