Item Description

Jane was born in NYC, raised in New Jersey, and studied art at Butera School of Art in Boston. She began painting in childhood, starting in watercolor, and then exploring many other forms of media as time in her life allowed. She is accomplished in abstract water media as well as whimsical 3-D Paper Mache' sculpture. Jane is employed part time by Cat Care Society in Lakewood, serving as Volunteer Coordinator and Art Director for their signature fundraiser, "Tails of the Painted Cats". She lives in Wheat Ridge with her husband and three housecats.

Lancelot is an imaginary snow leopard who roams the steep and rocky alpine regions of the Himalayan Mountains. The current population estimate is roughly 6000 leopards in the wild and their numbers have declined 20% over the past 20 years. This mask was inspired by a friend and world traveler who loves big cats.
