Item Description
You are bidding on a one-of-a-kind Ojo de Dios/God's Eye #1 collaborative art piece crafted by the 2nd class, mounted in a grouping and placed in a shadow box with a black felt background.
Using traditional methods, each 2nd Grade student has woven an Ojo de Dios, or God's Eye from hand-dyed yarn and gathered sticks. The students harvested the dye plants and school grown willow sticks for the project, and 3rd Grade students dyed the wool.
Individual students who crafted the God’s Eyes can be identified by student initials: SV, SK, RB, ST, GK, RW, EW, SA, ST, HP, NT, NF, RI, and KI.
Ojo de Dios are made by many indigenous people of the Americas, often given in celebration or as a gift to bless a home.
