Item Description
“Mojo Jojo” by Tayah Blanck, grade 11
Medium: Acrylic paint on canvas
Powerpuff girls and a love of supervillains was Tayah’s inspiration for this eye-catching work. She was attempting to portray a fun-loving criminal based on the popular Cartoon Network show, while using motifs from the show.
Tayah wrote: I was painting a monkey and was messing the anatomy, adding eyes, changing skin color, and I had the idea to do Mojo Jojo, because the monkey originally looked like him. Doing a painting in a week was the greatest challenge, she said.
This is Tayah’s second win in the Monkey Project.
