Hogwarts Summer Camp (Gr K-6) Session II: August 8 - 12
♦ Monday - Friday, 9:00am—12:00pm ♦ Niskayuna High School D262
♦ Session limited to 24 kids
♦ Instructor: Pam Ober
Love the world created in J.K. Rowlings’ Harry Potter series? Then Hogwarts Camp is just what you’re looking for this summer! Witches and wizards of all ages will make their own unique wands from scratch, con- coct explosive potions, construct snitches, create magical creatures, and play a variety of games including Defeat the Dementors, Bertie Bott’s Beans Bingo, Whomping Willow, Basilisk Tag, Transfiguration, and last but not least, Quidditch! Children who have previously taken a Harry Potter ASEP class or attended one of the summer or winter Harry Potter Camps will be excited about new games and activities and happy to repeat the ones we have all come to love.
Although our focus will be on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, we will talk about the other books (no spoilers, promise). Only fun excerpts will be shared in class. Please inform instructor if your child has any food restrictions. Also, please keep snacks peanut-free.
Camp will be held at the Niskayuna High School in the Home Economics Room (D262). We will also use the gym and other areas in the high school on a daily basis. This camp is a nice blend of literature, arts & crafts, sports, and science.
