Enjoy a tour of the Folger Shakespeare Library, home of the largest Shakespeare collection in the world and a renowned center for scholarship and performance. See Shakespeare’s First Folio and other treasures on exhibit from the peerless collection, and learn more on the docent-led tour of the Folger, built in 1932 a block from the US Capitol and on the National Register of Historic Places. With up to four tickets included here, see a performance in the intimate Folger Theatre, the first Tudor-styled playhouse built in North America. The 2016-17 season productions include Bedlam Theatre’s Sense and Sensibility directed by Eric Tucker (Sept. 13 –Oct. 30, 2016), The Second Shepherds’ Play (Nov. 27 – Dec. 18, 2016), As You Like It directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch (Jan. 24 – March 5, 2017), and Timon of Athens directed by Robert Richmond (May 9 – June 11, 2017). From Aug. 6 – Nov. 6, 2016, Will & Jane: Shakespeare, Austen, and the Cult of Celebrity exhibition will be on display.
