With your one year Household Membership to the Museum of Art at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) two adults and two children under the age of 18 in the household will experience a world class museum that traces the history of art from antiquity to the present through special exhibitions. The museum houses about 100,000 objects -- ranging from art to new work by contemporary artists from across the globe. Highlights include impressionist paintings, 20th- and 21st-century design, Gorham silver, Newport furniture, an ancient Egyptian mummy and a 12th century Buddha.
Through September 11, 2016, RISD will present the first major exhibition to foucs on the exuberant style and playful aesthetic of designer Todd Oldman's 1990s fashion career.
