This rich brown US Wings Lambskin Flight jacket with Escape Map Modern A-2 is made from the finest quality, ultra-supple New Zealand Lambskin leather. The hand-antiquing process of the lambskin leather gives this wonderfully soft, lightweight leather a subtle patina of age and the finish is designed to continue “aging” as you wear it. The A-2’s classic design goes back more than 80 years. It was issued to USAAF flyers during the 1930s and ’40s, making this one of the most revered and timeless of all “bomber”-type jackets. As a nod to its USAAF roots, this A-2 lambskin flight jacket features US Wings exclusive WWII escape map lining. It is an authentic reproduction of a British Bartholomew Northern France/England escape map. This map was issued to Allied pilots who flew in the European Theatre during WWII. It has been silk screened onto the lining. This design differs from the original with it’s looser fit, side entry pockets, inside wallet pocket, and made from lambskin instead of horsehide. The A-2 is arguably the most venerable of all leather flight jackets and its timelessness ensures that it will never go out of style.
