Item Description
Garden totems are one of the Art Masterpiece projects made by 3rd grade students in Kim Ponza's class at SLV Elementary School. These totems are inspired by a lesson on Barbara Hepworth, an English artist and sculptor. Her work exemplified Modernism and in particular modern sculpture. Students created brightly colored ceramic pieces celebrating nutritious fruit and vegetables. These ceramic pieces were then stacked vertically on metal poles and secured to cement bases to create three separate totems. Each totem represents a proud collaboration of all the students in Mrs. Ponza's class. Designed to be safe outdoors, they will make absolutely beautiful sculptural focal points in any garden!11"x 11" cement base, 51" tall
