Item Description
90 minute illustrated in-home talk about musical satire by David Misch (Mork and Mindy, Saturday Night Live, The Muppets Take Manhattan).
"The 15 Greatest Satirical Songs" --
Satire is one of the oldest forms of humor, and adding music only seems to make it more powerful. In early Germanic and Celtic societies, people would break out in boils and even commit suicide if attached in song.
Join David Misch (Mork and Mindy, Saturday Night Live, The Muppets Take Manhattan, Funny: The Book) as he shares his picks for the best musical satire in history, featuring 15 tunes from Randy Newman, Weird Al Yankovic, Steve Martin, Tom Lehrer, Gilbert & Sullivan, Chuck Berry, Groucho Marx, Spinal Tap, South Park, and Bugs Bunny.
Note from David: Please do not bid if you are prone to boils.
“The World of Musical Satire”, including Tom Lehrer, Chuck Berry, Randy Newman, “South Park”, Weird Al, Bugs Bunny and Gilbert & Sullivan.
