Item Description
Lauri Muhonen is a mosaic artist from Lakewood, Colorado. While raising three children her creative outlets were expressed in cupcakes, coloring, Play-doh and pine cars. Once the nest was (almost) empty she started gluing glass to bowling balls for yard art, and, voila! a love of mosaic was born. Lauri has experimented with two dimensional works as well as 3-D, sculpture and multi-media. Several of her pieces have been displayed in local galleries, while others have won online mosaic competitions. She is a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists and Colorado Mosaic Artists.
“Purple Rain," created in honor of one extraordinary life, is made of stained glass and mirror.
