Bronwen Jones is a Colorado artist, who combines a successful sales career with a love of art. She has taken workshops from many nationallyâÂÂ?ÂÂ? known artists and enjoys learning and experimenting with new techniques. Bronwen likes to pay special attention to unusual points of view and paints from her own photos. Light and shadow are a key element in all of her work. She looks for interesting subjects to incorporate the strong contrast of light and shadow. The spontaneity and color mingling inherent in watercolor, allow her to paint a variety of subjects offering the viewer a fresh perspective. She enjoys the process of planning, choosing colors and mapping out her painting.
After a recent trip to Thailand, I wanted to honor the majestic elephants we were able to spend time with. The colors I used, reflect the gold and metallic surfaces in the temples. I added intricate details simulating the Thai designs.
