Item Description
Let's call this shark Pot Luck! But actually luck had nothing to do with it! Ten different pottery class members made the tiles and constructed this shark. It's absolutely stunning, and truly one-of-a-kind!
The sponsor of this shark is Adorn Cape Cod. The artist is Chelsie Starace's Pottery Class, Creative Arts Center. The project began with each artist taking on a section of the shark. A palate of colors was chosen and each artist began with raw clay, designing their tiles. The tiles were fired, glazed, fired again and then applied mosaic-like to the shark and grouted. The artists have earmarked their portion of the auction proceeds to be put towards a much needed new kiln for the pottery department at the Creative Arts Center.
Item Special Note
This shark can be displayed indoors or outdoors. There is a custom stand available for indoor display. The stands are crafted by Rich Benson and the cost is $95.00
This is a two-sided shark!
