Item Description
Bethany Pagel has spent most of her life in Colorado Springs. She graduated from culinary school with an emphasis in pastry arts in 2012. Baking, art, books, exercise, and volunteering are her biggest passions in life. She enjoys being a mentor to an 11-year old girl through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Colorado Springs. Designing this mask allowed her to express both her love of BBBS while supporting hospice, an organization that her family has called upon many times to walk with relatives through their ending stages of life.
This mask is a representation of the positive experience Bethany Pagel has had being a "Big" in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. The logo of BBBS, painted a shimmery purple, is an abstract design of a "Big" and "Little" holding hands. Together, the two form a heart, which has been embellished with jewels. The words "mentor, love, community, growth, and friendship" displayed around the logo express Bethany’s favorite parts about this organization. She encourages others to experience the life-long benefits of mentoring a child.
