“Feeling the Butterfly Effect of Medical Breakthroughs”
Even if you can’t see it, you can feel it. One day soon, the key to all cancers and terminal diseases may be unlocked by breakthrough insights into the nature of chaos. Every system in nature is influenced by the chaotic behavior of natural and artificial elements that show a ‘sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state…can result in large differences in a later state,’ to quote of one of the pioneers of chaos theory, Edward Lorenz. Translation: Everything matters! No matter how insignificant an action may seem and the subtle effects it causes. So, we must "never give up" caring to "make a difference!" Because we do make a difference by caring! Chaos occurs when we simply don’t care…to understand.
