The Story about my "Janine Turner Crosses" from Mockingbird Hill

Recently, my daughter Juliette and I were taking a hike on our ranch, Mockingbird Hill, in Texas. As we approached the area that I call “Maggie’s Circle,” named after my beloved mare, Maggie, who died in 2008, I told Juliette about the time I had been loping Maggie in an open pasture that was the shape of a circle. When I saw it I had exclaimed, “What a perfect place to lope in a circle!” As Maggie and I were loping, my saddle slipped and I fell off of her. I hit my head but I was okay, as was Maggie. (I always believed that God prevented my feet from getting caught in the stirrups, which would have resulted in Maggie dragging me across the ranch, and that God protected Maggie from injury after her subsequent panicked dash through the pastures back to the barn.)

My father recently passed away in January 2014. I was devastated. He knew how much I adored Maggie and how distraught I had been when she died. About three months after my father died, I had a vision. It was not conjured. It was not a dream. It was a vision. In the vision, my father was in heaven. He was vibrant, contented, relaxed and happy. He had on jeans, a yellow shirt and a cowboy hat and he had his arm thrown around non other than my mare, Maggie and she was simply beaming with joy!

After I finished telling Juliette about this vision, we paused to look at Maggie’s Circle. At that moment I looked down and there was a cross on the ground! It had obviously been God made with two sticks from the trees above our heads. Somehow they had fallen right there, at that very spot, in the form of a cross. I knew it was a sign. It was a sign that my father truly is in heaven, jubilant and free, and that he has found Maggie! It was a sign that my vision was real. I kept the cross. (It is the one on the website home page.) Ever since that day, I walk the ranch and look for God made crosses, or God inspired crosses. I decided to share them with you! All crosses are handmade by me and come with my signature. They are made with wood specifically selected by me on my ranch, Mockingbird Hill. God Bless!
