Item Description
The winner of this package will receive Guy Arnoux: Les Vins-Bourgogene. Poster measures 8.5"x11", is unframed, and has a foam board backing. Donated by Howard and Renee Capponi
He illustrated nearly eighty books including several major formats of remarkable quality printing at Devambez (1917: Some French flags; 1918: Drums and trumpets). After the War of 1914 to 1918 , he participated in charming little books for children: Good English, book a licensee, Our brothers in America ... Between 1912 and 1925 he collaborated in the famous magazine fashion la Gazette du Bon Ton .
He was interested in the most varied fields of decorative art: designs for ships (with Lafayette in 1930), commercials , games , posters, menus, programs, costumes, fans, scarves and even shoes . He leaves behind a block letters , entitled Guy Arnoux capital, he realized in 1914 at the request of Georges Peignot for Foundry G. Peignot & Sons .
