MATERIALS
Kingman Turquoise
Josephene prided herself on the quality of her turquoise and mined most of her stones herself in the 1970s, when the Arizona mines were still open to "rockhounds." The terms "Kingman" or "high blue" refer to the blue color usually displayed in this stone.
Oxidized Silver
Oxidation is a chemical reaction between the metal surface and oxygen that changes the appearance of the silver permanently to a burnished gray.
Item Special Note
Turquoise is the birthstone of December and is thought to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness.
