Item Description

This silent auction item will be presented for final bidding at our annual picnic on Thursday, August 4th.

Al & Margo Ammons, owners of Leelanau Peninsula Maple Sugar Bush in Northport would love to have you come learn about their maple syrup business.  When the sap starts running in March, you will join Al & Margo and learn about tapping, collecting, and boiling.  The Ammons utilize new technology, such as reverse osmosis and automatic draw-offs.  Then you will return to learn about filtering and bottling the final product.

Al and Margo Ammons are known around the county for their delicious Leelanau maple syrup, which they sell at local farmers' markets and shops.

Come join the Ammons as you share in one of the sweetest parts of Spring!  Can you see the family gathered around the kitchen table with the maple smell making your mouth water?  Please pass the waffles!

Item Special Note

The highest bidder will arrange a date with the Ammons for spring 2017.

Please note: Sap flows when it flows, we recommend bidders have a wide open schedule in March to arrange a time for this Leelanau Experience.
