While striving for boldness and color, the Honey bee was born. It's said that a single bee or Honey bee entering a house brings good luck.  Whether she lives inside or out, good luck will find her.

The brilliant colors of the glass and alert posture captures the true nature of the honey bee. The extreme heat generated by the welding brings colors into the bronze and adds a rainbow affect to her wings.  She's been treated with a finish that will last up to ten years in the harsh winters of New England or the sunshine of Arizona.  With hand forged wings and gorgeous glass, this bee will brighten your day.  The balance of bulk with the anticipation of flight are both captured with this piece.  With thick, chunky legs and light playful wings it's just a great balance.  This would make a truly great gift for a beekeeper!

My creative side has always been influencing my life. I always had a project going. Whether it be sand castles as a kid or models as a young man. Loving the process drove me.  When it was time to take my place in the world as an adult, the distractions of earning a living and paying for my life, shifted my focus away from my passion. It wasn’t until my early twenties over a late night dinner that a friend said to me, “You must always make time for your art”.  “It doesn’t matter what you do, just do it”. Those words really changed me. I could not ignore my passion any longer without knowing I was missing out on something important.  I woke up the next day and went to work. I’m the third generation metal worker continuing in my family’s foot steps in a machine shop in Rockport, Ma.  But at the end of the day, I stayed a little later and began to weld things together.  It was just art time, just because.  My life today as I approach twenty years of creating my art, sparked from that late night conversation with friends.  Many people ask me how all this started and for me the answer is simple.

You must always make time for your passion.
